Ozinga has produced more than ONE MILLION TRUCKLOADS of concrete made with CarbonCure!! Ozinga, a fifth-generation, family-owned leader in concrete and building materials, was established in 1928 in Evergreen Park, Illinois. It began as a modest coal and coke yard and has flourished into a premier supplier of concrete, bulk materials and construction solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential projects across the Midwest and South Florida. Committed to service, learning, and entrepreneurship, Ozinga is built on a foundation of innovation, integrity and a deep commitment to serving its communities—all while keeping its iconic red-and-white striped mixer trucks rolling strong. What distinguishes Ozinga is its relentless pursuit of excellence and sustainability in concrete manufacturing. It has not only adopted a portfolio of innovative tools and strategies to produce its own greener concrete products, Ozinga is also actively engaging and educating industry leaders and peers, designers, builders and many other stakeholders on opportunities for new technologies, new mix designs and new methods for enhancing environmental stewardship. Since integrating our technologies in 2017, Ozinga has produced an impressive 1,023,976 truckloads using CarbonCure, delivering 8,161,000 cubic yards of carbon mineralized concrete. This has enabled more than 78,000 metric tons of CarbonCure carbon savings to date. That’s equivalent to removing about 18,000 gas-powered cars from the road for a year or the carbon sequestration capacity of about 1.3 million tree seedlings grown for a decade.
