Today is World Environment Day 🌎♻️🌳 A day to encourage worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment - This years focus is on land restoration “Our land, our future". At #MCFT we take our responsibility seriously, we have set up a carbon offset programme to counter balance some of the energy used in running the business, we are passionate about saving resources - Also proud to support local communities by donating, repurposing and recycling pre-loved equipment. 🌳 Since 2011, MCFT has been a dedicated friend of the Heart of England Forest. We have planted 10,775 trees over recent years, making the company fully carbon neutral. ♻️ We have been awarded Gold Sustainability Rating by Ecovardis - top 5% in the quality of our sustainability management system. 🔄 #CircularEconomy: continual support of local community organisations, linked with Plunkett UK - giving a second life to pre-loved equipment, donating to local community organisations. 💧💰🇵🇪 Water.org reported significant progress in FY24, mobilizing $965 million in capital and providing 10.2 million people with access to safe water and sanitation. The organization supported Peru's first blue bond, launched WaterConnect for infrastructure investment, and saw WaterEquity raise over $100 million for climate-resilient projects. Our engineers are out on the road on a daily basis and we strive to compensate for their CO2 emissions as much as possible. There is no sense in arguing if any one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals are more important to address than another. There are times, however, when one is exposed to an issue where the urgency to address a particular goal becomes extremely acute. Sustainable Development Goal 6 seeks to ensure access to water and sanitation for all. Safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene is fundamental for health and wellbeing including (but not limited to) improving health, enabling gender quality and increasing access to education. Water is essential and cannot be taken for granted. At the African Potential Group we fully support water.org and its efforts to unlock more funding to solve our planet’s water crisis.
