PULLING CARROTS Often referred to as pulling eyes or towing eyes, are a useful accessory for pulling plastic pipe or sub duct. Each carrot has a tapered threaded body to allow it to be used on a range of internal pipe diameters The thread is cut in a unique way to allow ease of insertion and maximum grip. One end is a clevis and pin for attaching the pulling rope and on the other end is an eye to enable pre-installed rope to be attached. It can be difficult to blast in crevices or tight spaces, but BAABS can help you do it safely! A rigidly mounted conventional deadman forces blasters into less-than-ideal arm and body grip positions, which are physically demanding and challenging to sustain. These uncomfortable and straining positions quickly cause operator fatigue, resulting in reduced blasting productivity and possible safety issues. BAABS (Blasting Accessories and Assist Bracket System) was conceptualized to address these widely accepted limitations. By changing the deadman grip size and placement and redirecting most of the blast nozzle thrust onto anchored parts of the body, BAABS significantly reduces the overall physical demand on blasters. In addition, the easy-to-install clamshell-style rail was designed to swivel around the blast hose. These features combine to dramatically reduce grip and arm fatigue, thus enabling longer continuous blasting durations or more nozzle on time per workday and better focus on controlling the blast pattern. The resulting benefits are improved safety and greater productivity. Compact BAABS now comes in new rail configurations: Compact BAABS (pictured) and Subcompact BAABS. All come with the NEW adjustable brace system. Both are designed to fit over 3/4” and 1” thick wall blast hoses. As a rule of thumb, the longer rail provides more comfort. Conversely these shorter rail systems are better to accommodate blasting within tight spaces.

Inspect Cutting Edges and Attachments: Cold temps and frozen ground wear out cutting edges, teeth, and attachments faster.
