✈️ Bechtel is helping Perth Airport prepare for takeoff. Bechtel has been selected to support and advise an expansion at Perth Airport. This program will increase the size of the terminal facilities, introduce a new parallel runway, and add the airport’s first hotel, along with two multi-story car parks—all within a live operating airport. With passenger numbers expected to grow from 16 million to 20 million annually by 2030, the expansion will help drive tourism and strengthen Western Australia’s economy. As a key gateway, Perth Airport is the only airport in Australia offering direct flights to Europe. The expansion will also consolidate all flight services into one central precinct, enhancing travel for passengers. "Bechtel is proud to help shape the next chapter of aviation in Western Australia," said Darren Mort, President of Bechtel’s Infrastructure business. "This significant expansion of Perth Airport will enhance passenger experience, create jobs, strengthen the economy, and benefit local communities." This project builds on Bechtel’s 80+ years of aviation experience, including active work on the Western Sydney Airport as Delivery Partner and Project Manager.
