What kind of food do you want to eat? 🍎🌾 Food that’s full of nutrients? Grown in healthy soils? Free from unnecessary chemicals? Right now, Australia exports two-thirds of the food we produce… but we import over 5 million tonnes of synthetic fertilizer every year to grow it. (DAFF, 2023) 🚜 Synthetic fertilizers are energy-intensive, emissions-heavy, and degrade soil health over time. They contribute to: ❌ Soil acidification and loss of organic matter ❌ High input costs for farmers, tied to volatile global supply chains ❌ Runoff pollution affecting waterways and ecosystems The alternative? A local, circular, and natural solution. 🌱 Superfly™—Bardee’s organic-certified fertilizer—is made from the nutrients in our own food waste. Instead of relying on imported synthetic inputs, we upcycle waste into a powerful soil booster, rich in organic matter, microbes, and bioavailable nutrients. Why does it matter? ✅ Supports healthy, resilient soils ✅ Reduces reliance on imported synthetic fertilizers ✅ Cuts emissions and keeps food waste out of landfills This is the future of food production—closing the loop, regenerating soil, and ensuring a healthier food system for everyone. So, what kind of food do you want to eat? Let’s grow it the right way. #CircularEconomy #RegenerativeAgriculture #HealthySoils #FoodSecurity #Bardee #Superfly #SustainableFarming

As we look towards a sustainable future, the importance of local, organic solutions like Superfly cannot be overstated. By upcycling food waste, we not only enrich our soils but also create a resilient food system that's better for both farmers and consumers. Your insights highlight a crucial shift in how we approach food production, which is more important than ever.

Have been directly involved and seen the outcomes of trials using Frass - premium produce - the yields were higher but what surprised me was the produce quality and intensity of flavour - - the transition will take time and will need prioritisation - but will come but most likely in a hybrid form, even better a tailored mix as a service - good post!

Good analysis ... and we might add that most (85%) of the canola we grow with the fertilisers we import is then exported to be burned as biofuel, to be retuned to us as greenhouse gas, toxins, and heat. Lucky us.
