The inaugural Monday Night League reached its climax after nearly five months of league matches and playoffs. Featuring Guiseley champions Mills and Boom. But with the honour of Mills and Boons Tom Naylor hit a huge drive here on 18, clearing the road leaving his team less than 100 yards. Team for their second meanwhile for the three. Because Jamie Colder hit one up at the right hand side wasn't as long as Tom's, but it would mean that three hookers would be hitting their second shots in first, with anything inside 10 feet being an automatic birdie. Lewis Dmitri, who had first go but just missed to the left. Jamie Kohler was next to ever go and he's followed a similar panel, just missing to the left hand side about 20 feet away. Good, but not good enough. It meant it was all down to James Island and his lovely looking approach shot looked really good for a while, but unfortunately for the three hookers it just went too far left and spun back to about 12 feet. It meant that Mills and Boom only had to get one within 65 feet and captain Chris Mills, Julia Barge with the first girl knocking it just short to about 35 feet. But what a great way to end our first season. And it was even closer in the battle of the second place teams where the guys, the runners up the pigeons tackled the Otley runners up, Thorpe's Hackers. It finished 45 points apiece, but not before James Thorpe. Thorpe is Hackers came within inches of a slam dunk eagle at the last.
