On Linux, I have created a sample program to see if given a big number (like the RSA used number), how fast the program running on the laptop can find the prime number pair, and found that for a big number large as 3028598253411, it took less than a few seconds to get the result: The prime numbers for 3028598253411 are 2862599 and 1057989. Note, this is just a testing, the 2 numbers may not be prime number and the big number may not be a number created by 2 prime numbers multiplied together.

The RSA problem has grown more severe, putting all software reliant on the public key mechanism at significant risk.
