A tale of two trillion dollar economies. In 2023, two-way goods and services trade totalled $2.7 billion between Australia & Saudi Arabia (https://lnkd.in/gAMUZij9.). Saudi Vision 2030 is a government program launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which aims to achieve the goal of increased diversification economically, socially and culturally. The upcoming World Expo 2030 and the FIFA World cup 2034 will present many growth opportunities for the economy. It was an honor to attend the first Aussie Expo organized by Trademark Group of Companies in association with Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A sneak peak into the giga projects in the country was engaging & fascinating. As Saudi Arabia continues to make strides in emerging technologies and innovation, this event signals the beginning of promising partnerships in the technology space. The country’s Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) published research in 2023 predicting their space industry would grow to $2.2 billion by 2030, compared with $400 million in 2022. The country signed the Artemis accords in 2022. Thanks to Abdulelah Habib, PhD for moderating the fireside chat session on "Innovation for the Future" and explaining the work done by SDAIA | سدايا (Saudi Data & AI Authority). Looking forward to seeing the incredible opportunities that unfold.
