Spotlighting breakthroughs in mine action through practical examples, this side event aims to showcase innovative approaches to clearance, risk education, and victim assistance to scale national capacity and safeguard lives in conflict-affected regions. ➡️ ATscale aims to emphasize the importance of victim assistance as a fundamental component of #MineAction, highlighting that #AssistiveTechnology is essential to providing assistance including medical care, rehabilitation, psychological and psychosocial support, and socio-economic inclusion. Survivor-driven narratives will highlight the power of assistive technology, while new advancements in AI and real-time data sharing will demonstrate how technology enhances mine action. Dr. Hana Farra will share stories of hope from #Syria, where access to mobility aids, prostheses, and other assistive products and services help restore mobility, dignity, and independence, ultimately saving lives.
