Nomad CEO’s log. Day 17. Part II. Istanbul, Turkey. Jibbling In. People say I'm nuts, this handsome Spaniard takes it to a new level. Jaime, in his late 20's, decided to quit his job at Amazon to cycle from Spain to China (via Istanbul, where is where I fit in), in a bit less than a year. He's living in a tent, or if he's lucky which he is most of the time, couches of hosts that let him do it for free in exchange for an evening of his time via an app called CouchSurfing. Yup, tons of people allow you to sleep on their couches for free, as I've come to learn. So, is Jaime doing the right thing? Maybe not, but he probably is. He'll absorb so many fresh ideas on his journey and experience so many cultures, which has to help him in his career, and he'll take this trip with him to his grave. If you're young and wealthy enough (i.e. you have a decent job and aren't struggling, so that's most of you), you cannot not be doing this kind of stuff. And, erm, if you're not young but you're fairly wealthy you cannot not be doing this stuff. What are you waiting for? Jibble out.
