Agile delivery has been a cornerstone for many businesses, allowing them to break down large projects into manageable two-week sprints. However, scaling Agile across multiple teams can present challenges. Enter the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) - a proven, integrated approach to achieving business agility using Lean, Agile, and DevOps principles. SAFe’s seven core competencies, including Lean-Agile leadership, team and technical agility and continuous learning culture, help organisations stay competitive in the digital age. By leveraging SAFe, businesses can align strategy with execution, delivering high-quality software while fostering innovation and agility at scale. What are your frustrations in Scrum teams? We asked Scrum teams what are the biggest frustrations they face. Here's what they had to say: - Estimations in refinement sessions, and trying to meet the estimations set without knowing all the requirements. - When requirements change, the team is not 100% sure on what the changes would be or what these changes could affect. - Making sure everybody from developers and testers understand requirements and are sure what is required from a specific story. When working with people, frustrations are inevitable. Scrum teams are no exception to that rule, but if you have chosen Scrum as your Agile development tool then it is important to remind yourself of the philosophy of Agile software development; “Individuals and interactions over processes and tools”, “Responding to change over following a plan”. Scrum is one of the most successful Agile team approaches, but it can get messy. Don't overcomplicate it - go back to the basics, prioritising your teams' needs in the process. Can you relate to these frustrations? Let us know what you and your teams struggle with in the comments below! #Scrum #ScrumMaster #SoftwareDeveloper #Azure #DevOps

Embracing Agile in My DevOps Journey Today, I dove into Agile methodology as part of my self-taught DevOps journey, and I couldn't be more excited about the insights I've gained! Agile isn’t just a framework; it's a mindset that prioritizes flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Here are a few key takeaways that resonated with me: Iterative Development: Breaking down projects into manageable increments allows for quick adjustments based on user feedback. This adaptability is crucial in today's fast-paced tech landscape! Team Collaboration: Agile emphasizes the power of cross-functional teams. Regular communication and collaboration can lead to more innovative solutions and a shared sense of ownership. Customer-Centric Focus: Keeping the customer at the heart of our work ensures that we're delivering real value with every release. Listening to user feedback is vital for driving product success. Continuous Improvement: The Agile principle of reflecting on our processes allows teams to learn from each sprint and improve continuously. As I continue to explore the intersection of Agile and DevOps, I’m excited about how these principles can drive efficiency and foster a culture of innovation. Looking forward to connecting with others who share this passion for Agile practices! Let’s learn and grow together! #DevOps #Agile #ContinuousLearning #SoftwareDevelopment #Innovation

When the Heretic Strikes: Remember What "Agile" Means Agility may be facilitated but is not achieved with frameworks or processes like Scrum, DevOps, or SAFE Agile. Focusing on processes and tool sets instead of agility itself may deny you the benefits of agility. Agility isn't a process or a tool; it's a culture and mindset emphasizing continuous small improvements. Agility is lightweight decisions and changes, easily modified or reversed, that represent incremental tradeoffs among all project perspectives, regardless of the methodologies used. I've advocated agility since 1992, preceding Agile as an IT buzzword by almost a decade. The Agile Manifesto encapsulates the principles I've been teaching for over 30 years. And the most important takeaway? Value individuals and interactions above processes and tools. #Agile #Agility #CultureMindset #RAPID #StrongCOR

I couldn't agree more with this post!! Agile is Mindset first of all! Doing just some ceremonies and using some metrics is not Agile or using 'some' Agile in a waterfall wow. 😅 Being Agile means that we are able to understand that the usage of this way of work is because we want to deliver value; we understand the VUCA and we are ok with it; we know how to deliver often and how to breakdown or prioritise. The Chaos lives in our mindset not in Agile 😉
🚫🌪️ Agile is not Chaos. Agile is not: ❌ Reckless ❌ Chaotic ❌ Low quality Agile is: ✅ Efficient ✅ Orderly ✅ Predictable If you cannot release quality software to production on a regular cadence, then you are not agile. Agile is not about lurching forward in fits & starts, with 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Agile is about iterating regularly and efficiently towards a well-understood target outcome. If you feel confused and clueless, you might be missing one of: ✅ OKRs for strategy ✅ Sufficient automated test coverage ✅ A modern DevOps pipeline with rollback ✅ Clear feedback from the market Understand your long term strategy. Keep track of quality. Release regularly. Seek customer feedback. Then, you will feel confident and well-informed - a happy place to be. 🙂 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥? By incorporating the agile Scrum methodology, we can continuously deliver more value through flexibility and adaptability in dynamic operational environments. But that’s not all! Scrum also empowers us to: ✅ Foster better communication and teamwork among all stakeholders. ✅ Deliver results that are aligned with business needs. ✅ Embrace continuous improvement to achieve excellence. With all the capabilities that are at our disposal these days, we should be able to build and deploy in days, if not multiple times in a day. DevOps transformation can significantly improve product quality and reduce time to market. By integrating development and operations, you create a seamless workflow that boosts productivity and efficiency. Want to learn more? I'm glad to share that I have completed a course on " Agile Project Management". Do you know what the Agile approach is? Agile is the name of flexibility and willingness to adapt to change. It's an iterative approach to move quickly and adapt to all the changes. The course talks about the 12 Agile Manifestoes, Agile Values, the concept of VUCA: volatility, uncertainty, complexity, accessibility, sprints, Kanban, XP, lean and its 5 principles, SCRUM, its foundations, and values, scaling Agile, and DevOps. In a net shell, it's a complete treat for a Project Management mindset. #projectmanagement #construction #SCRUM #XP #lean #DevOps #waterfall #Agile
