Hello Monday! My day starts with coffee - always. ☕️☕️ Unless I have an early flight to catch, nothing ever will happen without drinking coffee first. And not making any decisions before coffee has become the golden rule I live by. But there is a debate on what coffee method is the best. There is the espresso machine, the French press, and the filter coffee maker - which all make for a decent cup of coffee. Many people use modern day coffee makers based on pads or cups - expensive, not sustainable and not great coffee. And don't even get me started about the coffee - that is not coffee - that goes under names like Pumpkin Spiced Latte and is being sold in chains without soul. My favorite method is the percolator - with pour over filter coffee as second runner up. Simple, pure, cheap and sustainable methods to drink coffee as it was meant to be. #MotivationalMonday On the left is coffee. It was once beans that were coarsely run through a grinder. Hot water will run loosely over it and brew 10 cups of coffee. On the right is espresso. It was once beans finely run through a grinder. Just a portion of this will be packed with 30lbs of pressure into a puck at which point the machine will force pressurized hot water through it to make a tiny concentrated shot of espresso. It takes longer to grind. It endures more pressure and heat than the coffee. It makes a lesser amount of end product and yet tastes stronger in its’ 1oz than the entire pot of coffee. If you’re feeling like things are taking too long...like life is giving you more pressure than the rest...if you can barely stand the heat… Maybe you’re just espresso.
