Are you ChatGPT’ing? Probably! But for more than just writing 5,000-word essays on why pineapple belongs on pizza? (Don't come at me). Or creating a fake backstory for their plant (I see you!) I mean for work! Like content work. And if you are using it for business, letting your bot go rogue with your brand voice? (I see you, too, overusing "maximize"!) This is absolutely massive! I ran a little experiment on HuggingChat today - full details coming tomorrow - for now just wanted to celebrate what they've created. It's basically an open source version of ChatGPT: A chat-based interface, that lets you select from a range of 8 different LLMs. It has search capability (not always working perfectly, but then neither does ChatGPT). And it lets you build your own GPTs, just as OpenAI does. Plus seems like - for now at least - it's absolutely free! How is this not already all over LinkedIn?! They have totally ripped off the ChatGPT design and layout - but with this much functionality for free - we can let that slide.
