Japan has long been a global leader in automotive innovation, but electrifying commercial fleets in dense urban environments remains a major challenge. Ample’s work in Tokyo will tackle one of the world’s most complex EV charging landscapes—tight grid capacity, limited space, and high commercial vehicle demand—while keeping delivery vans and medium-duty trucks moving efficiently. In Will Girling’s latest deep dive in Automotive World, he calls Japan “a significant opportunity for battery swapping”—and Ample is proving why, starting in Kyoto and now Tokyo. We’re helping unlock Japan’s next chapter of mobility. #BatterySwapping #EVCharging #Ample #CleanEnergy

Great news! We are living in Kyoto for the next couple of months and see Kyoto as a great test case for battery swapping and electrifying vans and trucks.
