Congratulations to Karen Nichols, DO, MA, MACOI, my dear friend and colleague, Past President of ACOI: American College of Osteopathic Internists, Past Board Chair of ACGME, Past President of the American Osteopathic Association, and former Dean of Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, for becoming a Master of the American College of Physicians (ACP)! Founded in 1915, the ACP has more than 161,000 members (23,000 of whom are in 168 countries) and is the largest medical specialty organization in the United States. Its flagship journal is Annals of Internal Medicine, whose editor is Christine Laine, MD, MPH, FACP.
