Will the Mechanic Listen to the Driver? The driver had a complaint. “When starting to move from a stop there is a considerable amount of jerk, then while shifting a pretty good slam (as the trailer moves forward). This happens any time the tractor slows down and then speeds up. As far as I can tell there is no side-to-side movement but front-to-back…” Check out our latest article to learn what the mechanic's response was: https://loom.ly/HgoIIsw #kingpin #fifthwheel #commercialtrucks #commercialtrailers #trucking

Drivers, do your research. Before you agree to work for a company; talk to their drivers, read the fine print and find out what’s expected of you. We can’t tell you how many drivers we speak to that have been fed a line of crap by shady trucking companies, and by the time the driver figures it out, it’s too late. That won’t happen here. Find out why Bogler may be the best fit for you! Inquire at drive-wbt.com or call/text call/text Taylor at 573-502-3653, Heather at 573-825-8961 or Corey at 573-502-3563 . Considering a new road sweeper but unsure about CDL requirements and the concept of a "derated" chassis? Non-CDL vehicles with a GVWR of 26,000 or less do not require a commercial driver’s license, easing the pressure on contractors in the tight job market. The Non-CDL option vehicles, with a full rated payload capacity, are becoming more popular due to the rising demand for non-CDL options. Weight restrictions are now impacting purchasing decisions more than ever, Derated vehicles trying to fit the non-CDL segment only makes for a sweeper truck that cannot meet its full payload potential and in some cases burns more fuel than what should be acceptable in this market segment . Our ODRA-MT4H-Mechanical-Road-sweeper and ODRA-MS5H-Road-Sweeper are true non-CDL sweepers, offering larger payloads than competitors. The ODRA MT4H has a GVWR of 19,500 lbs., while the ODRA MS5H boasts a GVWR of 25,500 lbs., both below the 26,000 lbs. limit. In comparison, competitor sweepers either require a CDL or are derated to meet the 26,000 lbs. threshold. Non-CDL sweepers eliminate the need for a commercial driver’s license, ensuring compliance with weight regulations. On the other hand, derated sweeper trucks also operate without a CDL but must be cautious of exceeding weight limits to avoid penalties. Make an informed decision when choosing your road sweeper to stay within legal weight boundaries and ensure smooth operations.

Driving down the interstate or on the streets of Jackson, you may see semi-trucks with shiny metal spikes sticking out of the center of their wheels. It draws your attention and makes you wonder why the truck driver put them there. Tire spikes, also called wheel covers or lug nut covers, are not uncommon on big trucks, and you may have seen them on passenger vehicles as well. But what are the spikes on big truck tires used for? In this post, we’ll discuss the purpose of lug nut covers on semi-trucks and the dangers or restrictions of their use, if any. https://bit.ly/4clrPf6
