Alvine Engineering was invited to the The University of Texas at Austin – Architectural Engineering program to speak about our work on the Waterline Tower project. Professor Gregory Brooks arranged a lecture series for his students where the various team members involved with the project have been discussing different aspects of the building process like architecture, engineering and construction management. Tjaden A., Tyler Manahan, P.E. and I presented on the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems with some of the design decision that lead us to what is being provided in the building. There were some great questions from the upcoming generation of engineers, and it was a fun opportunity to see a campus I hadn’t had the chance to visit before!
It's fantastic to see Alvine Engineering engaging with future engineers and sharing real-world insights. The Waterline Tower project seems to be a stellar example of interdisciplinary collaboration. I'm curious, what were some of the most challenging design decisions your team faced during this project?
