Is #BlackFriday dead? Remember when people would line up or even camp out in front of Walmart, Target, Best Buy and a host of other stores to get screaming deals on products that they couldn't get at those prices at any other time of year? In an effort to one-up one another, retailers resorted to opening on #Thanksgiving and even though many have discontinued the practice of opening on Thanksgiving Day, the effort to move deals earlier and earlier has not slowed down. This year we've had #PrimeDay (twice), #TargetCircleWeek, #Walmart+ Early Black Friday Deals. As a result of these efforts to preempt Black Friday, the actual day after Thanksgiving seems to have lost a bit of its luster. Yet, these other campaigns to induce shopping sprees have not generated the fever pitch excitement that Black Friday did. Why is that I wonder. Is it because the deals aren’t as good actual Black Friday deals or because customers aren’t engaged enough to see the deals for what they are? Is it because the purpose-driven shopping that fuels Black Friday fervor doesn’t really kick in until Black Friday or because customers have tired of the constant drum beat of "Black Friday" deals that really aren’t? Is it because we're already overloaded with "must have" items that got everyone fired up to go hunting for deals? After all there are screaming deals to be had on big screen TVs just about any time of year, there full-featured smart phones available for every budget, and there's an endless supply of games in app stores. Whatever the answer, retailers have to work backward from the customer if they hope to capture the magic of Black Friday at any other time of year, on any other day of the year, or once again on Black Friday itself. And, if you’re on the hunt for some new peripherals for your PC or console, you are probably anxious for these offers to start to make your purchases… however, in this article we are going to give you a series of tips to make the right purchase and that you can save the most money possible. In this article we are going to focus on peripherals (keyboards, mice, headphones, monitors, chairs…) because, traditionally, they are the devices that sell the most on these dates. Many of them cost relatively little money and that can cause us to jump into buying without looking carefully first, and sometimes that results in overpaying. Well no, not at all. The monitor is on sale, since they sell it for 1,150 euros but the reality is that its base price is not €1,659 but €1,349 (you can see it in the manufacturer’s online store). In other words, it is on sale, yes, but its discount is not 31% but 14.75%, and you save not 509 euros but 199. Do you see what we mean? Here the store has greatly inflated the price monitor base to make it appear that the discount is much greater than it actually is. In this case, the monitor is really on sale, although less than what they say, but the important thing is to make sure that the offer is real, since there are cases in which in the end they end up selling a product above its price. price. Compare prices at various stores Of course, one of the things you should do if you don’t want to spend more money than you should is that, when you have already decided on a product, you should compare your price in several stores and not limit yourself only to the usual store.
