Albemarle County Service Authority’s Post

For Water Crew Leader Jason Thomas, a #DayInTheLife at ACSA is an adventure in pipes, problem-solving and protecting our water system! After 23 years at ACSA, Jason knows the ins and outs of keeping our operations running smoothly. He oversees crews’ daily tasks, manages service requests and ensures work orders are completed efficiently. A typical day involves working on service lines, upgrading setters and tackling special projects—like his current focus on the exclusion meter project. Jason will soon kick off a major Capital Improvement Project on Myrtle Street in Crozet. His team will replace an aging PVC water main with a more durable ductile iron pipe as part of our ongoing effort to upgrade infrastructure. What many people don’t see is the extra care his crew provides—when they encounter leaks on private property during repairs, they often help customers by fixing them on the spot. Jason enjoys mentoring new team members and helping them succeed. When he’s not in the field, you can find him in his shop, tinkering with and rebuilding vehicles—because problem-solving isn’t just a job, it’s a passion. #AlbemarleCountyServiceAuthority #AlbemarleVA
