There’s something special about being in a room full of people who are just as passionate about ERP and innovation as you are. Microsoft ERP Day was exactly that—insightful sessions, great conversations, and plenty of learning along the way. Some of my key takeaways: Sameer Verma’s keynote – Super interesting to hear about the journey toward autonomous ERP. Two things that stood out for me: Microsoft is the ONLY vendor offering a full platform experience—from infrastructure to business apps. The modular and composable nature of Microsoft ERP, which means customers can already start using Copilots and AI-driven agents, no matter what ERP they’re on today. TecAlliance's session – A customer-led deep dive into a real-world One Platform D365 implementation. The journey wasn’t linear (are they ever?), but the insights were great. My personal favorite from the session: D365 Commerce integration with Subscription Billing in D365 F&O. Sam Schotte’s session – Always a treat to hear from Sam. While the session was all about agents in D365 SCM, what really caught my attention was how each of the core ERP business processes are evolving to become more autonomous. Lucia Marie J. & Maik’s session – Great breakdown of how Microsoft is helping customers navigate the (sometimes overwhelming) world of AI adoption. The workshops they offer are a solid starting point. Severin Bock’s session on modernizing Finance & ERP – This one really resonated with me. A deep dive into BPA, BPP, and Demand Planning, showing how these innovations aren’t just about agents and AI but about improving core D365 ERP . Matthias’ session on Microsoft Fabric – One word: data. Bringing everything together into one platform is key for any AI project, and this session drove that home. Beyond the sessions, it was great catching up with the customers, and geeking out over all things ERP. But, but, but… the best part of it all (and events like this) is always meeting my team in person (if it’s not already obvious how happy I am in the pic!) Huge shoutout to Melina Schröder, Chidimma Agbasi & the broader Org team! Daniel Hotz Marilena Sassano Achim Löschner #ERP #MicrosoftDynamics365 #AI #BusinessApps #DigitalTransformation
