Pro Tip for Developers: Comment your code where needed, but don’t overdo it. Use comments to explain why something is done, not just what it does. Well-placed comments make your code easier to understand for others (and yourself in the future). In my experience, clear comments have helped avoid confusion during code reviews and debugging. #CleanCode #CodingBestPractices #WebDevelopment #SoftwareEngineering #CodeComments #JobSearch #TechJobs #HiringNow #UAEJobs #DubaiJobs #SoftwareEngineer #FrontendDeveloper #DeveloperJobs #ITJobs #CareerOpportunity #NowHiring #TechCareers #JobOpening #MiddleEastJobs #GulfJobs #FullStackDeveloper #CodingJobs #SoftwareDeveloper #JobHunt #TechTalent #CareerInUAE

🚀 Hiring: Forward Deployed Engineer – Defense & GovTech Startup 🔥 Some engineers write code. Others solve real problems. We’re looking for the latter—an elite engineer who thrives in high-stakes, high-impact environments, working directly with government and defense customers to build mission-critical software. 💡 Who You Are: ✅ A problem-solver first, an engineer second ✅ Comfortable in fast-moving, high-intensity environments ✅ You can prototype solutions in days, not months ✅ You’re customer-facing—not afraid to sit with users and build exactly what they need ✅ You have a portfolio of work that proves you can build, ship, and iterate fast 💻 Tech: Full-stack (React, Java, Python) – but we care more about execution than specific tools. This is NOT a job for the slow-moving, the purely theoretical, or those looking for a corporate safety net. This is for builders who want to work on mission-critical software that actually matters. 🔗 DM me or apply at link in comments

Pro Tip for Developers: Always test your code as you build it. Writing small tests for each part of your code helps catch bugs early and saves time later. In my experience, testing small pieces of code regularly makes the whole project more stable and easier to maintain in the long run. #CleanCode #CodingBestPractices #WebDevelopment #SoftwareEngineering #CodeTesting #JobSearch #TechJobs #HiringNow #UAEJobs #DubaiJobs #SoftwareEngineer #FrontendDeveloper #DeveloperJobs #ITJobs #CareerOpportunity #NowHiring #TechCareers #JobOpening #MiddleEastJobs #GulfJobs #FullStackDeveloper #CodingJobs #SoftwareDeveloper #JobHunt #TechTalent #CareerInUAE

As backend engineers, one of our ongoing challenges is balancing performance with resource management. One powerful technique for achieving this balance is rate limiting – a strategy that allows us to control the number of requests a user or application can make to an API within a set timeframe. So, why is rate limiting so critical? 🔹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀: By limiting the request frequency, we prevent any single user or process from overwhelming the system, ensuring fair resource allocation across all users. 🔹 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀: Rate limiting is one of the first lines of defense against brute-force attacks or abusive usage. By limiting requests, we can effectively deter or slow down malicious actors attempting to flood the system. 🔹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Excessive requests can degrade system performance for everyone. A well-tuned rate limiter helps maintain optimal performance, even during traffic spikes. 🔹 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀: With rate limiting, we encourage users and clients to follow predictable usage patterns, reducing unexpected loads and improving our ability to forecast system demands. Implementing rate limiting can be straightforward or complex, depending on the needs. We often choose strategies like: • 𝗙𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (requests reset after a defined period) • 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗟𝗼𝗴 (a more dynamic approach, counting requests over rolling time frames) • 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 (allows bursts of traffic within limits, offering flexibility) Rate limiting requires careful calibration – too strict, and it impacts usability; too loose, and it may not effectively protect resources. But when done right, it creates a backend that's resilient, secure, and ready for scale. #BackendEngineering #RateLimiting #Scalability #SystemPerformance #BackendDevelopers
