🚀 Advisori AI Use Case Challenge: Team 9 Kicks Off! 🚀 Dear Community, The time has come! Today marks the beginning of the first round of our 5-month AI Use Case Challenge at Advisori. We are thrilled to introduce the first team and their exciting project. Please give a warm round of applause for Team 9, consisting of: - Ahmed Tarek Sabek - Hassan Afzal - Bernd Mayinger - Raj Pawar - Arosan Annalingam Their Project: An Innovative Test Case Validation Tool 🎯 Project Details: Our goal is to revolutionize the validation and improvement of test case names. Our application uses the Zephyr Scale API to retrieve test cases by their ID. The names of these test cases are then validated and regenerated according to specific rules, with Claude 3 AWS Bedrock playing a crucial role. 🚀 Rules for Name Validation: - The name must be written in English. - Which module does the test case belong to? - Is the sentence grammatically correct? - Compliance with specific naming conventions. - Contextual relevance of the name. (Extended rules as needed...) User-Friendly Interface: Our application offers an intuitive user interface where the user simply inputs the test case ID. The application takes care of the rest: it retrieves the test cases via the Zephyr Scale API and generates an appropriate name using Claude 3. This weekend, we came together to UofTHacks to innovate, collaborate, and challenge ourselves—and we’re proud to present The Other Side! ⚖️ Our Mission: Break echo chambers by empowering users with tools to explore diverse, credible perspectives. 💡 Our Creation: We built a website and Chrome extension leveraging AI to: ✅ Analyze webpages for bias and verify information ✅ Facilitate debates with real-time fact-checking ✅ Provide access to peer-reviewed research 🛠️ Hackathon Highlights: Collaboration: We brainstormed, designed, and built a fully functional platform in just 36 hours! Learning: From refining our RAG AI model with Vertex AI to crafting intuitive designs with React, every step pushed us out of our comfort zones. Wednesday news: 600+ registrations, Application for judges is closed, one week left We’re super excited to share that in just a few days, over 600 people have applied to join our hackathon! We’re now diving into reviewing all the applications. Quick reminder: our hackathon's main goal is to build a brand-new AI platform for developers. During the prototyping phase, the AI will handle the boring stuff, giving you more time to focus on the fun and interesting work. Here’s what you can expect if you’re a participant: 1. Application: We’re checking all profiles and only selecting those with the right experience and skills. 2. Confirmation: You got an invitation email. Fill out the detailed form and invite your friends to join in. 3. Team: Form a team with your friends to compete for the winner’s title and make a splash in the community. 4. Workshop: Attend the opening ceremony and a workshop by the judges, where you’ll get your task, learn all the evaluation details, and chat with the judges. 5. Start: Work on your tasks, get advice from mentors, and unleash your creativity! 6. Deadline: Submit your projects and record a short video explaining how everything works and what it’s made of. 7. Review: Judges will select only those projects that meet the criteria for the showcase event. 8. Showcase Event: Present your solutions and answer questions from the judges. 9. Winner: Judges will pick the phase winner. All other teams will add new features to the winning project in the next phases. 10. Everything was going great, and then suddenly, things went sideways! That’s exactly what happened to us at the 30-hour hackathon Code Odyssey at K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology. My teammates(Harshil Damania, Mohit Nippanikar & Pranay Mistry) and I were tasked with building an AI Influencer platform, and we went all in. Our AI models could generate images, videos and even chat with users automatically. But we didn’t stop there.🔥 We added something special—a fun challenge feature, where users could take on tasks like a “10 Push-Up Challenge,”💪 and submit their videos, and our AI would judge them based on accuracy and timing. It was more than just an influencer—it was interactive and engaging. Everything was going smoothly, but during the final presentation, disaster struck. The worldwide Gradio's sharable-link server went down, which we were using for live image generation. ⚠️ Imagine showing screenshots instead of a live demo to the judges—not ideal! We tried our best, but the live magic just wasn’t there. Despite some hiccups with the competition process, we walked away with a crucial lesson: It's not just about doing what’s required. To stand out, you have to bring something new to the table—something that makes people say, “Wow, mind-blowing!”🤯✨ It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but we came out stronger and wiser.🎢 "Winning isn't everything. Sometimes, the best prize is the journey and the lessons learned along the way."
