Ten years have flown by, but #TheSurvivorSofaStory remains relevant. It's important to note that the UK now has a zero-to-landfill policy, so sofas will be burnt for energy not sent to landfills if they reach a waste stream today. Designing for longevity and easy disassembly to address worn-out elements (such as the upholstery) is paramount, along with clear communication and finance to support all the systems that can make a local circular economy possible. We're bombarded with #perfection on social media, but let's be honest, in real life, sometimes it takes some serious time and effort to get things just right. This video by Spray & Roll Interiors is a brilliant reminder that even seemingly simple tasks can be an exercise in patience.
