Tala Al Jabri brought her experience as an investor, founder and advisor to top venture capital firms to #ADFW2024.
Speaking at T.R.I.’s panel "Failing Unicorns: The Aftermath for Investors," she explored the realities of startup funding, the risks of unsustainable growth and the lessons investors can learn from failed ventures.
My name is Talal Jabari, and today I'm representing the Middle East Venture Capital Association. Actually, what I think makes this event stand out to previous years is just the sheer number of people moving to Abu Dhabi, signing up in Abu Dhabi, excited for the future of Abu Dhabi. It's the capital of capital. It is incredible to me just how easy it is for me as a business person to be able to talk to regulators about the regulations and to come to an understanding of how I can get licensed. And they've made themselves very available and the framework that they've laid out, you know, that they keep iterating on every year and making it better is very business friendly, but also protects consumers who are also very important in the mix.
