The electric vehicle (EV) market continues to grow at a rapid pace. According to research by ‘Our World in Data’, there are 40 million electric cars being used globally, up from 26 million in 2022. In the UK alone, there were 1.4 million fully electric vehicles on the road as of February 2025 – nearly triple the number in 2021.
