Final Client: Oysho We created a mixed media campaign, filming and post-producing the piece. During post-production, we used 3D VFX sand to make the visuals dynamic and avoid a static look. The sand served as a narrative thread, guiding us through various exercises and highlighting the texture of the leggings. The fabric is cut with a laser for a clean finish, so we had to understand how different laser cutting machines work to emulate their real-life operation. The campaign has been published on their website, in-store, and online on their social media channels. Our goal was to showcase the new product. As a creative studio, we identified the need to highlight the laser-cut detail, elasticity, and durability. The rocks illustrated the product's durability, while the movements emphasized its elasticity. We aimed to bring to life an element that exists for its function. Over the next few days, we'll be sharing content about the process <3 Brand - Oysho Creative Director - ANDREI WARREN PERKOVIC Production Supervisor - Ernest M. To tell the story of Earth Defender at the scale and visual impact the narrative required, Studio Birthplace teamed up with VFX partner Heckler HQ for the second time after their collaboration for Greenpeace’s Money Trees film. “This was the sort of project I wish I could work on every single day. To be doing such interesting work is already exciting, but to be doing it for a project that is addressing probably the most important issue of our time, the destruction of our natural world, felt like such an honour.” - Visual Effects Creative Director Cody Amos From recreating the destruction of a forest to crafting breathtaking scenes—like a mesmerizing battle and the poignant moment where trees fold into themselves as the earth opens up to welcome the father into the afterlife, watch this VFX breakdown by Heckler HQ and explore how these visuals came to life. Blurring the lines between fiction and reality, we have created the Etxart Panno garden where each look coexists with the flora. As a creative studio, for most of the projects in which we integrate 3D, we need to do research: how tall is a streetlamp, or how a spoon would fall from a table. We want to share with you the 360º view of our flowers for ETXART PANNO and some questions that we asked ourselves. Additionally, some of the references that characterize us as a studio: to develop this project, we used references from the withered flower in Kimetsu no Yaiba, from Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams, and from Hibana in Fire Force. This combination has given us an incredibly cool result. We hope you like it. Our goal was to highlight the new car functions. As a creative studio, we identified the need to emphasize the importance of technology in vehicle safety. During post-production, we used visualization filters to make the visuals more dynamic and capture the viewer’s attention, underscoring the relevance and usefulness of these features in reducing risks. We needed to show that this effect would really occur, similar to the Matrix, as it was one of the first cinematic reinterpretations of how a machine perceives an analog environment. In this scene, what happens is that according to the intensity of the light, you can see what is alive and what is not. Not in the case of the Matrix, but in our case, it will be what is closer or further away. The scene where Neo dies and comes back to life and fights against Anderson is significant. The interesting part is that Neo dies and through death, he understands the depth of the digital and analog space and sees that they are connected and that the same codes of the digital are applied in the analog. How do you make a film that doesn’t feel like a film? Simple, you don’t treat it like one. From the start, we wanted this to feel more like a futuristic product launch than a traditional film. So, we set ourselves a challenge. We found the biggest studio in Naigaon—one that could house a massive 60x35 LED screen. Then came the details: raising the screen to the perfect height, fine-tuning the colors on display, and syncing every frame with the dialogue, all to ensure the screen didn’t just sit there but became a character. And then came the real challenges. The LED screen gave up on us the night before the shoot. When it was finally fixed, the content started running into compatibility issues with the screen. A four-hour delay later, we pulled through. Hope you love the campaign as much as we enjoyed making it! I want an entire series in this style.
This baby has been in the making for the last nine months, and we are finally ready to show it to the world! Get your headphones on, watch the trailer for Valheim Ashland's, and, of course, check out the new update on Steam. Let me know if you'd like to take a call about cinematic 2D trailers; we're always looking for new IPs to collaborate with!
