- Once I met up with Kathy it was pretty apparent that not only was she a wealth of information about these animals and this location but she was also very open to our process or my process as a photographer. She kind of got that it was not just about seeing the animals real quick, but it's about sort of sitting and waiting and getting the best background and all that so I really lucked out and sometimes, not just in wildlife photography but in anything, finding just the right person on the location to kind of be your tour guide or you segue into this world, makes an entire difference. It was one thing when I was just walking around this location taking pictures, I think it's going to be a whole other thing walking around with Kathy who really knows what's going on. She can look at a field of 40 antelopes out here and say hey, there's two that you want to take pictures of and she can tell me where to find them, what time of day and how long it might take to sit there, you know, so…
