Working with gradients
- [Instructor] Let's start with texture for our design. At the end of this video, you're going to know about the different kinds of gradients and how to use them. We'll start by adding a few shapes to our art board. I'll add a rectangle, a circle, and something more interesting, like a star. Obviously, we've got the default gray fills for all of our shapes, but we're going to change them to gradients. The first thing I'll do is get rid of the borders on my shapes, and then we start with a linear gradient. A linear gradient is simply a gradient that transitions from one color to another in a straight line. I'll create two different colors so you can see what the effect is. In our rectangle now we're going from a red, vibrant red to a soft gray. We can edit the gradient by clicking on the points within our gradient.
