Working with component-based stairs

- [Voiceover] In this movie I'm gonna look at the component-based stairs. The component-based stairs are created from a collection of inter-connected components. And this makes editing them simple because if you edit one component it usually has an impact on any of the others that are connected to it. Now another nice benefit of working with the component-based stairs is you can work on them in either 2D or 3D and you can even do it at the same time because it's more of a 3D sketch mode. So I'd like to demonstrate that benefit of using them by working in two views. So I've got level one floor plan already open. And I've got this second view over here on my project browser called 3D stair. Now this is a cutaway 3D view of the stair lobby. And I'm gonna come over to the view tab. Click the tile windows button here on the windows panel. And then using my wheel mouse I'll just pan and zoom a little bit in each view so that we can get a better look at the area that we're gonna work in. So…
