Adding text - Revit Tutorial
From the course: Revit 2017 Essential Training: Architecture (Metric)
Adding text
- [Voiceover] Most architectural drawings need text at some point to annotate and explain things in the view. So in this movie we're going to look at the text features available to us here in Revit. So, I've got a simple elevation on screen. It doesn't really matter what view you're working in to add text and I'll go to the Annotate tab and click the Text button. The Text button is also on the Quick Access Toolbar or you can type t + x which is the keyboard shortcut. So you just simply click a point where you want the note to go and begin typing. When you're done typing click next to the note in empty white space to complete it. If you're typing a note and you press Enter, that will not complete the note. If you press Escape, Revit will warn you and ask you, "Do you want to keep your "changes to the note?" Of course if you said yes then the note would remain, but if you say no it will disappear. The easiest thing to do, if you're typing something, is to just simply click next to it…
