Parameters
- [Instructor] Parameters are query objects that return a single self-contained value. They minimize reliance on outside files. We can also use them in multiple queries within Power Query at the same time. The term parameterized queries or functions involves passing the parameters into something else. First, though, we need to set up the parameters to use. We access our parameters through the Parameters menu in the top ribbon. In the Home tab, we'll select the dropdown menu. We'll choose to create a new parameter. Let's first create a new parameter for the station ID with a suponomous name. We'll set as a text data type, and we're setting it here as a text data type because that's the data type of the field in the existing daily weather query. And the second dropdown will say that it can take any type of value. We can then set the default value of the station ID to Santa Barbara from the newest station list that we already set up in our connection. So it's going to be the same as the…
