Establishing the connection path for the PLC Simulator

- [Instructor] A very important step is establishing a connection path. A connection path is to link and connect the software part to the PLC device. Whether it's a real physical device, like Allen-Bradley Micro820, the picture on the top, right. Or in our case, a simulator, the picture you see on the bottom, right. And in both cases you see on the screen, I'm using an ethernet connection. When using an ethernet connection, we need to know the IP address of the PLC device we are using. For our simulator PLC, although it is within the same computer, but it acts as if it's a device by itself, so we still need to establish a connection path. It is done once at the beginning only, and then you can keep using the same settings. Let's see how we do that. So here in the software, I'm going to click on this little icon, and open the simulator PLC window. Then I'm going to go to "device", and then select "setup…
