Understanding Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Software as a service or SaaS is a cloud computing service model that allows us to use complete applications and systems over the internet. Generally speaking, the software offer by the provider is centrally hosted and it has a multi 10 and architecture. That is many customers and companies are using the same version of the software, And in turn, the software can accommodate any number of new users and companies. We as users, use application like any other and are responsible for the data we enter into the system. On the flip side, the provider is responsible for practically everything else. Most of the time, SaaS based software solutions have monthly, or annual pricing tiers. Some examples of SaaS are: Office 365, Dynamic crm or nine, Microsoft Teams and so on. A disadvantage we can mention here is that the availability of the service may be effective due to maintenance reasons that the provider makes on the platform. So…
