Eploring negative space with the Difference blend mode

- [Instructor] An interesting way to explore positive and negative space is using the Difference blend mode. This does have some limitations. It's only going to work predictably with black and white objects and when the document is in the RGB Color mode. Let me just show you what I have here on the Layers panel. We have a white rectangle on top of which we have a black triangle on top of which we have a piece of type. Now, if I select the type, and on the Transparency panel, make its blend mode Difference, we create an interaction where the type overlaps the black triangle, but those may not be the colors that I want. Things get more interesting when I change the color of the type to white. And it's worth mentioning that the type remains completely editable.
