Small strobes

- There are many advantages to working with small on or off-camera strobes. There's advantages over the LED lights, and even advantages over big studio lights. For example, compared to LEDs, they're a lot more powerful. You get a lot more light out of them than you do out of any kind of constant light. Compared to big studio strobes, they're portable, very portable. They're small, lightweight, fit in your camera bag, and are battery-operated, which means you don't have to be anywhere near a power outlet to use them. Of course, compared to studio strobes, they're not quite as powerful, and compared to LEDs or any other kind of constant light, you do have to take the picture, fire that frame before you know what you're gonna get. But as with any tool, there are advantages and disadvantages, and of course here we want to talk about what makes them so cool.
