Creating effective dimension styles in AutoCAD (NOTE: set up dims layer and text style)
- [Instructor] As with the other videos in this particular chapter, we're staying in our annotation.dwg file, and we're going to take a look at how we create a specific dimension style. In the same way that you create text styles to place text, you create dimensions tiles to place dimensions. Now the preferred method of placing a dimension style is to place an annotative dimension using an annotative dimension style. Now I'm not going to go into that in too much depth in this learning AutoCAD course, but you can go dive a lot deeper into dimension styles, annotative dimensioning, dimension annotation, in the AutoCAD Essential Training course. So my suggestion is once you finish this learning AutoCAD course, jump into the AutoCAD Essential Training, and you'll learn a lot more about dimension styles and dimension annotation.
