- [Instructor] What is Microsoft Intune? Well, there's a little bit of a confusing history when it comes to Intune, so let's take a look. Intune is something that Microsoft came out with to assist in managing Windows and other devices several years ago. A few years later, they combined multiple products into one new product called Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and it included the original Intune, but it also included Configuration Manager. This is an on-premises way of managing your devices, and it also included many other products, which I'll tell you about shortly. In October of 2022, Microsoft officially changed the name of Endpoint Manager and all of its products to Intune. Microsoft says they will refer to cloud management as Microsoft Intune, but when managing on-premises, they'll use the Microsoft Configuration Manager application.
