Use AI-powered coaching in LinkedIn Learning
- [Instructor] LinkedIn Learning's AI-Powered Coach is your personal assistant for navigating the platform and building critical skills. Let's take a look at how you can use it to save time and grow professionally. Now, remember that the AI Coaching feature is available to LinkedIn Learning Hub and LinkedIn Premium users, and is available on desktop and mobile devices. To access the feature, I'm going to select AI Coaching from the side navigation bar. I'll click this, and it brings me to the AI-Powered Coaching page. Now, on here, you'll first notice at the top it says, Hi, Oliver, ask me about specific challenges you're facing at work, and I'll gather advice from LinkedIn Learning to guide you. So, they're taking information from all of the LinkedIn courses to provide you answers to questions that you have. Now, the responses will be personalized for you, and it shows you at the top the information they're using to personalize it. First is my current role. Next, the career goal that I set in LinkedIn Learning, and then the skills that I follow on LinkedIn Learning, again, pointing out why it's so important to set a career goal and to follow skills on the platform. Now, down below, it gives me some sample questions, or I can start asking my own question. So, I want to go in here and ask it a question. Now, I could ask it stuff like, how can I lead more productive meetings? Or teach me about pivot tables. What strategies can I use to manage more effectively? I'm going to put one in, I'll put in, How can I lead more productive meetings? I'll hit Enter, and let's see what it gives me for a response. Okay, so it's telling me here in the video, Keep meetings action-focused. Dave Crenshaw talks about the importance of making meetings productive for managers by highlighting common reasons for meeting failures, so here's some information about what I'm talking about. They even end it with a question. What are your preferred meeting styles and the strategies you currently use in your workplace? So, I can continue the conversation and receive more feedback. And you'll also notice here that they pointed me to this video, Keep meetings action-focused. Now, if I wanted to watch that video, I can simply click here, and it will bring me to that course. So, the AI processes your question and provides tailored content recommendations, such as courses, videos, or learning paths. It can also summarize LinkedIn Learning video transcripts and offer actionable advice on real-world examples. Here, I'm going to give it another try. Let's say I want to ask it another question. This time I'm going to ask it, How can I prepare for a meeting to negotiate my salary? I'll go in here and hit Enter, and it's going to go and give me a response to this question, so you can see that at the end it gives you a question so you can continue the conversation, as well as go to the link that they provided here for a video, Three Steps to Successful Negotiation. Also, note that your conversations on here are private. They're not shared with your employer or other LinkedIn members. Whether you're exploring leadership, professional development, or technical skills, AI Coaching makes it easy to find content that's tailored to your needs, and get actionable advice that you can use immediately. Finally, I also want to mention that we're starting to see the AI-Powered Coach help us out in even more areas of our LinkedIn Learning accounts. For example, when I navigate back to a course, here's a course I opened before, you'll see on the right hand side this icon that stands for the AI-Powered Coaching, this little diamond shape. Now, here, it's normally blue, you'll see it in here, it's given me some prompts about this course or this video. It's saying Key takeaways for the video, or Help me understand this better. So, let me see right now, click on Key takeaways for this video, and you'll see that the AI-Powered Coaching will generate a summary. So, here are the key takeaways from the video, Keep meetings action-focused, Reserve time for reporting, Anchor conversations with actions, and so on, so this can be extremely helpful. Now, I could go in and ask more questions here if I wanted. I'm going to navigate back to my homepage, and I want to click on another course just to show you where this appears again. So, I open this course for the first time, on the right, it's bringing it up and saying, is this course a good fit for me? Key takeaways. So, maybe I want to check it out first. I'll click here to see if it's a good fit. It's going to review my profile and give me its feedback, so this could be a great fit for me, and it explains why. Now, at any time, you can close out this AI-Powered Coaching feature in the course so that it's not there. If you want to access it again, you just go to the bottom right and click on that blue circle with the diamond inside. So, also look for that AI-Powered Coaching symbol in other areas of the platform and take advantage of its incredible guidance.
