Course assessments in LinkedIn Learning

- [Instructor] Many of the courses on LinkedIn Learning contain multiple choice quizzes at the end of chapters. These quizzes are optional, but recommended. They're not meant to give you a grade, but rather to focus on helping you validate your understanding of the content, and to learn more effectively. The chapter quizzes can be taken as many times as you'd like. Right now, I'm inside of a course, and that is the course I was in before, "Learning To Teach Online." To the left, I can see the table of contents, and here are the different chapters and videos. And in the first chapter, there are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 videos. And then at the end you can see there is a chapter quiz, and it's telling us that it has three questions. So this is an example of that chapter quiz at the end of a chapter. Now I can see that I've already completed this quiz because it has that green check mark next to it. Here's the second chapter with two videos, and then a chapter quiz. Here's another one with eight questions. Here's one with three questions. And go down to this one, and I'll click on this chapter quiz right now, and you'll notice that to the right, it will open up the quiz. So it's asking me the question here, which level of Bloom's taxonomy can do this? That is, remember, I'll click Submit, and it's telling me that I got that correct. I'll go to the next question. Now I'm not even going to look at this one. I'll select an answer, just this answer right here, and click Submit. And when I do, you can see that I got this one incorrect, but it's giving me that feedback right away, and then saying, if I want to, I could go review this video. Now I can move on to the next question. I'll answer this one as well. Click Submit, and got that wrong. So at the end, it's telling me that I got 1 out of 3 questions correct. Keep practicing, review your answers and retake the quiz. So here I can review all answers, go over them again, I can continue watching, and I can retake that quiz. And again, quizzes aren't intended to make you nervous or prove that you can get them all correct, or else you fail. Rather they're there to help you self-assess yourself, and make sure you're understanding the information that's being presented. I suggest that you take advantage of these and check your understanding as you progress through these courses.
