Adding lyrics
- [Instructor] Any score that has a vocal part will need lyrics. So let's look at how you can add and edit lyrics. So I've got the Lyrics Start and Lyrics Example files open. I've tiled the two windows, and I've put both scores into scroll view as we've done in previous videos. To get started adding lyrics, I need to first select the lyrics tool. That's the one that looks like two eighth notes here with the lyric below it. And then I'm going to go into the lyrics menu and I'm going to make sure that Type into Score is highlighted. To get started now, all I need to do is click a note, and the lyric cursor starts flashing. And all I need to do is start typing words. So I'll type the word O, hit the Spacebar to go to the next note, and the next word is broken across two notes. So I'll type the first syllable D-A-N, and then I'll hit the Dash key to move to the next note. And I'll type N-Y. and then I'll hit Spacebar to go…
