Modern microservices
Now that we understand a bit about the problems microservices were designed to solve, let's dig into what makes microservices microservices. Some of these attributes that are unique to microservices are about the technical aspects of the microservices themselves. Others are about the people and processes that build them. Both are equally important. It's not possible to produce quality products on a factory floor with the wrong tools and processes. And make no mistake, microservices are products. We'll talk more about that when we discuss product management. Microservices specifically serve business capabilities rather than technical ones. This practice brings the technical implementation closer to the business implementation. This is to ensure that microservices directly serve business goals.
