- Are you buried under a bunch of SQL queries? You have different data assets, complex business logic, and all these different people asking you for data. That's where I found myself in my last job at a startup, where we had a really complex analytical database. To reduce that complexity, we used data build tool, also known as dbt. I led that migration at the company, and it changed the way I thought about data, and I hope it can work for you too. In this course, I'll teach you how to set up a dbt project, how to set up a database, and how to connect your dbt project to that database. Then we'll use real-world data to set up our own data workflows with dbt. Hi, my name's Mark Freeman, and I've been a data scientist turn data engineer, and for the next few videos in this course, I'm now going to be your personal mentor, where we're going to pair program and build this project together.
