- [Instructor] Okay, so let's spend a few minutes talking about individual licensing, 'cause licensing can always be a bit of a fun topic in any piece of software. So the Power BI desktop itself, which we're going to spend a lot of time with in this course is a free download. Anybody can go and download it, install it in their machine and use it. So you can bring data in, clean it up, build reporting, and essentially at that point you have something that really looks an awful lot like what you would be doing inside of Excel. The Power BI service, your license as an individual is either free or pro. So you can have a free Power BI service license, and that has some pros and cons, which we'll talk about a little bit. Or you have a pro license. So pretty simple so far. So then from the Power BI service perspective, your workspace, which you're going to publish your work, is either in premium capacity or non-premium capacity. So one of those two.
