- [Shaun] Welcome to this AutoCAD Electrical Essential training course. What we're going to do throughout this course is make you into a rounded AutoCAD electrical user. Now, AutoCAD Electrical is based on the world famous AutoCAD Engine, but the interface for AutoCAD Electrical and how the files function within AutoCAD Electrical is very, very different. Hence, you need to take this particular course if you're going to be working with AutoCAD Electrical. AutoCAD Electrical allows you to create schematic and panel drawings very, very quickly for your electrical projects, and the drawings are managed in the AutoCAD Electrical project manager that you can see at the moment on the left-hand side of the AutoCAD Electrical screen. Now, the whole idea of AutoCAD Electrical is that you're working in that electrical engineering environment. You're developing electrical drawings. You want to make sure that, obviously, these drawings are functional, and more importantly, publishable. So as we take you through this AutoCAD Electrical Essential training course, you'll learn all the skills you need to develop your expertise with AutoCAD Electrical to develop your schematic and panel drawings, and publish them accordingly in a professional working environment.
