Intro to focus stacking
- [Instructor] Stacking images is usually done for the purpose of increasing your depth of field. Focus stacking allows you to have your image in focus from front to back, something that might not be achievable with a single frame. But we also have some additional creative uses of stacking images, which we'll be looking at. Jere are some general pieces of advice for stacking images, similar advice to creating panoramas and HDR images. Use a tripod where possible. If you don't have a tripod, it will still work, just so long as you keep your camera really steady. Include a marker frame so that when you download the images, you can easily spot the different stacks or the different frames that will make up your stack on your camera roll. Use manual settings, we don't want the exposure changing from one frame to the next. That might happen when you use auto settings. Aim for the sweet spot of the lens in terms of its aperture.…
