- [Instructor] Creating HDR images is a very pleasing technique, especially when it works. But I think it's always good to ask ourselves, do we really need an HDR image? Do we really need multiple frames for every image that we want to create? Each of those frames being rather large in terms of file size eating up our hard drive space and taking longer than it otherwise would to develop the image. Now, sometimes you really do need an HDR, but I don't know about you, but sometimes I get a little bit carried away with the technique and it becomes that hammer and nail situation. When I have a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail and I start trying to apply the HDR approach to everything. Now here's an example. This image, it's an HDR image. So here is my normal exposure, my underexposure, my overexposure, here is the HDR result. But, and the reason I did this as HDR is so that I could retain the drama…
