Job Title: Vice President of Accounting and Finance

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

Salary: $150K - $200K base + 10% discretionary bonus

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Accounting and Finance for a confidential client in the Chicago area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience managing a team and overseeing various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of the General Ledger and P&L statements
• Manage A/R, A/P, and Payroll
• Oversee production of KPIs and revenue and expense variance analysis
• Reconcile accruals to cash accounting statements
• Generate and maintain P&L’s for additional business units and department level P&L’s
• Manage a staff of over 10

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA required
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience managing an accounting team of 7 or more people
• Proficiency in Sage accounting system and advanced Excel skills
• Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or manufacturing industries preferred
• Experience automating manual accounting processes
