We are hiring a Talent Development Analyst for one of our clients in Laurel, MD .

Job Description

  • Assists with new employee orientation sessions and conducts training;
  • Assists in designing, developing and delivering training classes with oversight from the Division Manager;
  • Helps facilitate various meetings, classes, workshops, etc.;
  • Prepares, tracks, and/or manages standard and ad hoc reports such as detailed statistical analyses, graphs, charts, dashboards, surveys and other monitoring systems used to measure training ROI and feedback;
  • Maintains the learning management systems (LMS);
  • Conducts training related research;
  • Administers surveys, analyzes results, makes recommendations and assists with talent development needs assessments and improvement initiatives;
  • Maintains and updates relevant materials such as training/development outlines, session guides, manuals, presentations, templates, policies, procedures, processes, etc., and other related work products of the talent development and succession management team;
  • Provides budget monitoring, analyses, and reports to Division Manager;
  • Manages the training drive, division’s intranet page and other shared sites/pages;
  • Evaluates for compliance with policy/process requirements and processes tuition assistance requests; maintains tracking system for budget expenditures;
  • Uses available state of the art technology to maintain all development team documents, instructional aids, and materials;
  • Maintains the talent development resources; inclusive of learning aids, books, handbooks, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works;
  • Maintains an up-to-date listing of the portfolio of development solutions to ensure the appropriate applications are deployed, including, but not limited to classroom, e-learning, and guided learning;
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings, classes, workshops, and events that includes space setup & cleanup, ensuring proper and working equipment, accurate and sufficient amount of appropriate materials, registration, travel related needs, etc.;
  • Performs all tasks and job functions in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skills Required

  • Adult learning concepts;

  • following and presenting prepared training material;
  • coordinating key contacts for timely work delivery;
  • Good quantitative, analytical and technical aptitude; o Proficient in using Microsoft applications: o Excel (intermediate level); o PowerPoint (intermediate level); o Word (intermediate level); o Outlook (intermediate level).
  • Ability to effectively manage concurrent tasks/projects/deadlines and proactively seeks resolutions to problems;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate including grammar, spelling, and the ability to convey ideas and information that is tailored to the target audience;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently and to establish priorities and demonstrate good judgment;
  • Ability to be solution oriented;
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills within a diverse environment;
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations;
  • Outstanding customer service skills and dedication to providing exceptional customer care;
  • Ability to analyze and organize moderately complex information and adapt to new information and ideas quickly.

Skills Preferred

  • Coordinates activities and addresses issues related to information technology, procurement, space needs, materials needed, etc.;
  • Assists with monitoring contract expirations, processing purchase orders, invoices, etc. Liaisons with the Procurement, IT and other related offices;
  • Performs administrative duties such as typing, filing, scanning, photocopying, classroom/calendar scheduling, ordering supplies/equipment/food and beverages, etc.;
  • Provides relevant development reports to managers as required;
  • Guides employees to developmental options as recommended by the talent development and succession management team;
  • Performs other related duties as required

Experience Required

  • 2 years’ experience working in an environment supporting training, and/or other related operations; and experience as a support or entry-level trainer on a learning, training and development or organizational development team

Experience Preferred

  • Training and development experience.
  • Familiarity with LMS application

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
