Supply Chain Manager Job Description

  • Responsible for managing inventory levels for all product lines to ensure supply
  • Analyze back-order report, sales data and demand to plan procurement and schedule production
  • Analyze sales through and inventory turnover rate data for the team
  • Source factories/vendors for new projects or new products, negotiate costs and ensure quality product supply within reasonable lead time
  • Work closely with management and designer on product R&D, communicate between departments to ensure smooth R&D process, manage product life cycle from design to sample to actual production
  • Creating and managing all SKUs and product information in NetSuite system
  • Manage inventory, review open sales orders, work closely with production and factories to ensure fulfillment, arrange shipments with factories and logistics to ensure delivery on time and maximize order fulfillment rate
  • Analyze inventory, purchasing costs, demand and generate inventory reports
  • Work closely with the accounting department on inventory purchase and planning
  • Mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply by constructing and executing a well thought out supply plan that fulfills the needs of the product on time and with quality
  • Execute purchasing transactions within scope area by issuing purchase orders for vendors and ensure delivery. Manage all relevant master data in NetSuite to ensure accurate and complete information
  • Following bill process and documenting technician work process as needed
  • Coordinate with the sales and fulfillment team to determine cause of the rejected product and to drive appropriate changes to ensure elimination/reduction of those quality issues
  • Partner with Management and Controller on implementing advanced supply chain strategies like long term purchases, design for manufacturing to reduce cost and improve quality
  • Proactively manage inventory, prevent stock outs while optimizing the utilization of company working capital
  • Generate daily/weekly inventory report for the sales team
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors to ensure communication is smooth with real time delivery information and work in progress
  • Monitor and manage costs to ensure adherence to project-specific budgets and forecasts
  • Proactively update management and sales teams on all critical supply issues
  • Analyze supply chain data and report out metrics
  • Communicate with international factories to ensure production on time and resolve production/supply problems
  • Maintain master sheet record of all products and generate inventory reports for each product line, update inventory status and production, shipment schedule to sales team on a regular basis

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or a similar discipline
  • 3-5 years supply chain experience required
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and purchasing/planning functions, or equivalent ERP systems

Preferred Skills or Experiences:

  • Technical knowledge in the automotive industry, familiar with vehicle brands and models
  • Proven success working on cross-functional new product introduction projects, completing cost models, and negotiating.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel & Project, able to create pivot tables, generate reports and analyze data
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving environment.
  • Conducts all activities with the highest level of integrity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
