The Department of Health Services (DHS), Plan Partnership and Payer Strategies team is currently hiring for a Staff Assistant I within its Contract and Relationship Management Unit. This role combines stakeholder management, project coordination, and the creation of essential materials to effectively communicate project updates and initiatives.
Essential Functions
Act as a liaison between various stakeholders and internal teams to coordinate dissemination of information between DHS stakeholders, and state regulators, as well as contracted Health Plan partners as applicable.
Develop and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities across multiple teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and objectives.
Track and monitor project deliverables and timelines using tracking logs and project management tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any project issues or delays, ensuring smooth execution.
Respond to and manage the needs of stakeholders in rapidly changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
Job Qualifications
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communications skills, adept at collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage deliverables, in addition to meeting deadlines consistently.
Data and Project Coordination: Skilled in organizing, maintaining, and disseminating data/information.
Adaptability: Ability to learn new and diverse material and adapt quickly based on business needs.
Education/Experience
Experience in project coordination, which includes planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring activities and deliverables using tracking log templates
Experience developing a variety of stakeholder materials, including but not limited to data charts/reports, concise PowerPoint slides/stakeholder presentations, and staff training materials/guides
Certificates/Licenses/Clearances
Successful clearing through the Live Scan and health clearance processes with the County of Los Angeles.
